We provide community-based accommodation and care for children and young people up to the age of 18 who are unable to live at home with their families, or with foster or kinship carers.
Our residential care homes across metropolitan Melbourne provide small-scale shared housing for up to four young people. 24-hour care is provided by a rostered team of dedicated Wesley staff.
These children are among the most vulnerable people in our community. They have experienced significant trauma and, without appropriate care and support, face a difficult future.
Our aim is to provide each person in our care with a safe and stable home, while helping them reach their full potential. In a therapeutic environment, we work with each young person to make positive choices, maintain their health and education, encourage family and cultural connections and prepare for independent living.
Residential care placement services are managed by the Department of Health and Human Services.
