Crisis support

Wesley Mission Victoria is a Homelessness Entry Point, which is the primary means of accessing assistance for Victorians who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Crisis and Homelessness_Crisis Support

Our Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) team assesses the needs of people and assists them to prevent and end homelessness by providing accommodation advice, referrals for additional support and some financial assistance depending on availability.

Anyone aged 16 or over experiencing or at risk of homelessness is eligible for assistance. This includes families, single people and couples. Please note that eligibility for specific forms of assistance will vary depending on individual circumstances.

Crisis accommodation and information

Homelessness can affect anyone – young people, older people, single people, couples and families. Our service ranges from emergency accommodation to assistance with securing long-term housing.

After assessing an individual or family’s needs, we can assist with:

  • information on available housing options
  • crisis placements where funds and/or placements are available
  • referral to crisis and transitional housing vacancies
  • referral to interim response and outreach support programs.
