It’s not every day that you get treated to a private performance by a 15-piece orchestra, but more than 170 people enjoyed that rare privilege when world-class musicians Inventi Ensemble came to town.
It was a beautiful day for a concert and clients from our aged care social support programs and members of the community enjoyed scones and tea in the garden at Uniting St Mark’s in Chadstone before sitting back and enjoying the enchanting classical sounds.
Uniting St Mark’s Team Leader Ethan Gankanda said the concert, which is one of up to six held each year in partnership with Melbourne Recital Centre, was the most popular and well-attended event yet.
“Many of our clients adore classical music and they were absolutely rapt to be treated to this performance by these world-class musicians,” he said.
“This was a really exciting event and an opportunity for our clients to get dressed up, socialise with friends and get lost in the music.
“There were plenty of stories being swapped about the music and musicians after – the energy the music created was incredible!”
