Our crisis centres provide assistance to residents experiencing or at risk of homelessness across the eastern region of Melbourne, as well as within the City of Maribyrnong.
To enquire about volunteering in our crisis centres, phone one of the numbers below, or fill out our online enquiry form.
Please note that as a volunteer at our crisis centres, you won’t work directly with clients that utilise our services, but you’ll be undertaking other important roles, like the ones below.
Food sorting at Ringwood
We often require volunteers for one to two hours a week at our Ringwood service to sort food donations. During November and December, we always welcome many more hands on deck to help sort and stock shelves with the non-perishable food, household products and toy donations that Melburnians generously donate during our annual Food for Families appeal.

Opportunities at Footscray
As well as needing volunteers during the busy November and December period to sort and stock shelves with food donations, we require assistance all year round at our Footscray Outreach Centre with reception and administration duties, drivers and assistants to pick up and deliver donations and sorting, restocking and shelving donations of food and household essentials.
